Military Ball

In late September Bill and I attended a military ball for his battalion. I was a little stressed out about leaving Hank overnight with one of our friends - maybe more than a little. Of course he did wonderful, and we were able to have a good time at the ball.

With our friends, the Francos.

Splash Park

Here are a few pictures from a hot August afternoon spent at the splash park.

Family Reunion

Towards the end of July, Hank and I flew into Indianapolis to go to a family reunion in Nashville, Indiana. Of course, I didn't take enough pictures - I think I was too busy chasing my kid around and trying to keep him out of the hot tub. We had a great time which of course makes me wish that we lived closer so that we could visit more often. Maybe at the next duty station!

So not digging Mommy and Grandma's shopping excursion

Luke, Hank and Eli - maybe we can get a better one at Thanksgiving - and goofy Ellie in the background :)
Hank and Mike - I think he was about the only other person that Hank would let hold him other than Mommy, Grandma, and Grandpa

Hank visits the Alexandria Zoo

We took Hank to the zoo back in July. I know...once again I'm way behind on my blog posts. Overall, I think he had a good time, especially when we let him out of the stroller to wander around.
Checking out the big fish

I just had to post this picture. I swear this thing was posing for the cover of GQ magazine.

Checking out the gator...or crocodile, whichever...

Happy 4th of July

Grandma and Grandpa drove all the way from Indiana to visit Hank for the 4th of July. They stayed an entire week, and I'm pretty sure Hank didn't miss daycare one bit. Here are a few pictures from their visit.
Getting ready to head out to the Freedom Fest celebration

"Very funny, Grandpa. This hat is mine."

"No really, it's mine!"

Victorious!

This kid loves his ice cream - and he gets a lot more of it when Grandpa and Grandma come to town.

Breakfast at the Booker Lewis House

Petting the puppy dog - he loves this thing. He will even lay his head down on it like he does with Max at the house.

Pool party!

We recently had a going-away party for one of my friends at work since she and her husband are PCSing to Kansas. Luckily, one of my co-workers who hosted the party has a swimming pool. Hank made a bee-line straight for the pool as soon as we stepped outside and would have walked right in if I hadn't grabbed him. He spent most of the party in the pool with me or Bill, taking a few rest breaks to eat.

All of my co-workers (at least the ones that were there)

Water baby!!

With this hot and humid weather down here in Louisiana, we try to keep cool as much as possible.  Here are a few pictures of Hank enjoying his new pool back in June. Of course, it only keeps him occupied for about 10-20 minutes before he wants to head on in to the cul-de-sac (sigh), and I have to get out of my chair to retrieve him.

Splashing away

Eyeing the cul-de-sac...

Daddy's so funny!

Can I please go play in the cul-de-sac?
